Waiting two hours for a bird.
When I looked through my photos yesterday I found a Smew (Mergus albellus) in the background of an otherwise rather dull photo. The smew is a rare visitor to Denmark, so I just HAD to go there again to see if it was still there. It was, but I had to wait over two hours before they swam close enough that I could take a fairly decent photo. It’s a rather small bird, after all.
I also saw a Heron standing in a narrow ditch near the road today, but, unfortunately, it flew when I drove past.
