EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
After I went to the museum of modern art “Kunsten” in Aalborg the other week, I have felt the need for some really fast glass. I just sold my Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, because I thought I did not need the low f-number, but now I changed my mind. I guess us nature photographers care more about shutter speed than aperture. I kind of get it now, though. My tourist photos would also need some “f/1.4″ love, to get the background blurred out. I can’t wait to try it out for real. So, I just bought the EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens. I hope I will be happy with it. It produces some really blurry backgrounds, as long as the lens is pretty close to the subject.
