Aalborg Zoo.

Today I went to Aalborg Zoo. This is the largest park of its kind in Denmark. While not huge, I am happy to say that the animals have quite decent living conditions. A lot has improved since I was a kid. There are a lot less species, but each species has sufficient space. The polar bears for example have one of the best enclosures in Europe.

Today was the first day of spring. The sun, and all the animal cubs, were out. I got a whole lot of photos, some of which were good enough to publish.

The “Tropical House” was hot and humid. When entering, it is important to give the camera enough time to get warm. There are hot air blowers to clean your glasses installed at the entrance. Do NOT use these for your lenses. Your equipment may get full of condensation water inside. What I find works well is to keep my camera in the lens cover, in a warm camera backpack and take it out only when needed.
