Ringed Plovers and Skylarks.
This evening, about one hour before sunset, I went to the beach. The birds there were the obligatory gulls, but this evening I also saw (and heard) the Skylarks (Alanda arvensis) and what turned out to be a pair of Ringed Plovers (Charadrius hiaticula) flying fast and near the ground, trying to distract me from their nesting site. Next time I go there, I will have to sit in the dunes for quite some time, until they settle down – today I was not near enough.
